post office

I just finished deleting about 120 emails, spams all.  One day at work I got a call and was told to go into my box and delete some mail because I had over three hundred email that my employer had sent me.   I couldnt believe it!  I had been on the job 3 days, 3 days.   Imagine what if I had been somebody of importance?  Fat chance.
Most of the emails were bull shit, unnecessary emails sent to me because they could.

You must understand that as a nurse every moment I spend reading emails, is time I cant give patient care.  Now the ball is on your corner ..... the quality of your healthcare suffers because of stupidity.   I guess it could be worse, it certainly was.  When I started they use to keep the jello locked up in the basement.  So if my patient needed some jello, I had to call security, leave the floor for 30', take the elevator and wait my turn, to sign out the jello for the patient.  Back then we had 30 patients and took report on 60 patients.   Look at it this way, 60 patients means one minute per patient.   I dont have time to go get jello, or read emails.

Worse the accounting of jello in a hospital is such a trivial cost that it defies any fiscal sense.  Those little cups cost maybe a 10 Cents to make, so it would cost more to account for them then they are worth, kinda like the penny in America.  But I digress.

What if the person sending me an email had to pay me a penny for each email sent.  That would reduce the amount of spam, I have to learn to cope with by 100%.   So if I acted on the email and it was necessary to send a response, I would send the response plus the penny.  Surly my time is worth a penny?

In this day and age, everbody sends me emails and I have to sort them and put them in the spam pile or trash pile.  Now many of these emails are scams, unsolicited sex, and just plain abuse and harassment of my time.

I propose that I get one of those little stamps with my info.  So now I can put it on the envelopes and on my email.  The email goes thru the post office and if my little stamp is on their email, they dont have to pay me, but they still have to pay the post office, 1 penny.

The stamp I send out to anyone could have a value of 12 cents, so each time they send me an email the amount is reduced by 1 penny.

During the civil war .... they took all the coins, melted them and turned them into weapons.   But regular folks couldnt buy bread because there were no coins, so the money was printed in stamps.

Mexico did the same during their revolution ..... they melted the silver coins to buy weapons from us.  So if you were wanting an old silver coin, made in mejico, you would be hard pressed or up a creek without a paddle.

Accounting for the penny is fiscally irresponsible!  And using snail mail is also  medieval, and costly.   The price of the stamp, the price of the mailman, the price of gasoline, the price of benefits.   Hell, we cant afford snail mail.

Tax spam.
