In The Loop?

Hello, my readers.  Today I am changin th name of my Blog from Chief of Staff to In The Loop.  Th name is an American phrase meanin to, keep informed.  U always want your group to b in the loop, this is like th information gap that xists btween u n your parents.  My mom died some time ago but Im pretty sure she didnt know anythin about computers n even less about THE BLOG.  That said I feel that In The Loop is friendlier than Chief of Staff, who although well meanin, is a go it alone person n only reflects his own ideas.  Since I know that many people share similar ideas or even different ideas, that does not make them any less worthy of consideration.

So it bgins, Beto O'Rourke came by th house n left his callin card, "sorry I missed you".   I have added his name n email to my Political Google Circle.  He is runnin for congress n wants to replace Sylvester Reyes as our congressional leader.  I have yet to read his resumee or CV.  How do I know that he is qualified?  How do I know that he has good intentions?  Will he put his constituents bfore, his God, his family, his party  ..... bcause this is th person Im lookin for.

The oath of office goes like this;  I do solemnly swear ( or affirm) that I will support and defend the   Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion;  and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter:  So help me God.

When Sylvester Reyes ran for office he said that he would not be a career politician and that he would leave when his term was over ...... now he refuses to leave, apparently he forgot the:  without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, part.  The job pays so well and so many are the benies that he absolutely refuses to leave, he is like a pig to the trough.  In fact he is part of the problem and not part of the solution.

In fact we should not xcept the oath in any other form than written, preferably signed in blood.  We should also demand that the oath include his punishment for failing his constituents.  The oath as written is obsolete.  When it speaks to defending against all enemies, foreign and domestic ....it fails to include one person; the person taking the oath.  Besides it refers to the constitution, a document, not the people.  Most congressional representatives believe that they only represent their own constituency, but it includes the United States of America, in its entirety.  So if the people of Louisiana are drowning ..... he owes them a duty, and he should not stand by and watch the President and FEMA ignore our fellow Americans to their demise.  If we are the constitution incarnate, we can ill afford to ignore the gangrene on our toes.

You might notice that We The People, did not place our faith in God, we believe in religious freedom and the separation of church and state.  Beyond this we consider these details our secular miracle.  So Mr. O'Rouke I would like to see your oath in writing now rather than later, that way we can agree on boundaries.

So I personally would like to see Term Limits, I dont want you there getting fat on my taxes, I dont want you there getting a degree at our expense, I dont want you there  writing 17 Books like Newt, unless the royalties go to your constituents.  I expect and demand that your work be recorded daily on the net.

I want you to participate in Social Security and I dont care if the others in Congress say no, I expect for you to defer all salary increases, to us.  I expect you to pay for your own health care and not participate on the existing insurance had by congress.

I expect and demand that you and congress pay taxes, and that you get all corporations to pay taxes.  No one rides for free
