Veronica Escobar and friends won the election. Then the media comes in and the first words out of her mouth are, "we have to increase taxes, 1% every year for three years". This means 2% every year for 6 years.
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your ..... I recall the first time we met and you said, "we are neighbors". Now I hate you and regret ever meeting you.
Thank you Stephanie Ayalla, you have been very aggressive in fighting for this community. To bad these idiots dont seem to care. It is a revelation to know that the city wont break even for 27 years! Letting the city grow is to our detriment, we have no water and the return on investment is never going to happen.
Stephie your request for public records is right on. Public officials are just that, they chose to be public and declared so when they ran for office. They have no privacy, any business they conduct telephonically regardless of the phone they use belongs to the public. Those calls and emails belong to the city of El Paso and should be surrendered. Any public employee who is conducting public business on their private phone is conspiring to commit fraud. Beyond this they are stealing from the city because they are employees 24/7.
I guess I will play Nostradamus and speculate on the Jeff-Bowie situation. EPSD has a lease for the offices on Boeing, it is coming to a close, they need to move. It would make sense for them to move to the Bowie building, this is poetic justice since they fail to educate students. Anyone one in this town knows that they would be better off with a GED than with a diploma from Boowie.
The Jeff thing is a land grab, the price of that real estate has skyrocketed since those republicans moved into town with the hospital. Come hell or high water, Jeff will fall. The city should use its eminent domain powers, take the property and auction it off!!!
And El Paso you are an illiterate city, we should have the reading police give tickets for failure to read.
May the force b with u you.
