Flu History

I spent a month in bed with a respiratory virus, it wasnt the flu.  I did have my flu shot in November.  But the flu is a killer.  A little history.

In 1917 the flu struck the planet, the damn H1N1, it killed millions!!!!  This was during WWI and we lost more soldiers to the flu than to the war.  They died in the trenches.  The Queen Elizabeth was going to Europe with our soldiers and a presidential decision had to be made.  It was known that if one man had the flu, that all 5000 would be dead before the ship landed.

New York City, had so many people die that the kids would pull the bodies to the sidewalk where they would be carted away.  Everyone wore a mask.  The lights went out because the operators of the electric company died and there was no body who could operate the generators.

In Texas we give away the vaccine and still kids show up at school without vaccinations..... this is child neglect, not only will it effect one child but in a school it will spread.  It can bring down the educational process to a halt.

Here in El Paso one of the Nurses sent a kid home because he didnt have vaccinations ..... he was fired.  It ended in a law suit, it was the policy of the school and he acted in the best interest of the community.

People at UTEP dont have their shots.  This is just BS!!!  The border should refuse the crossing of anyone with symptoms and anyone without vaccinations.

People on Medicare get it free, vaccinations are sold at a minimal cost.  If the person has a doctor and was seen recently, not getting a flu shot is more than negligence .... it is wreckless.

Vaccinations in Texas are not medications, this is done so anyone can administer the shots.
