Naomi .... I want you to know that when I was your age, I know that on more than one occassion I too got behind the wheel of a car, while under the influence.  I your case, there was an accident and you got cited .... my heart goes out to you.  But this isnt about you, its about us the constituents the voted for you and pay your salary.  

Just two weeks ago a man was stopped with his 16 DWI.  This means that no one cares about our people, getting the hit and run, dying on our streets, the loss of property.  On Montwood we added first reflectors, than lights, now we have barriers all up and down the street.  Those DWIs constantly run into the walls and often into peoples houses.  Subway is now looking at home delivery .... wow, have we not learned from Pizza delivery that this can get people killed.

My biggest beef is that they keep running into the communication boxes, they knock down the Cable, Internet, Phone services.  Those little green boxes seem to be a target for every drunk.   I say this because, they keep running into them, so much so that it couldnt possibly be accidental, it is deliberate.

So the federal government sits down while we are excommunicated.  Our phones, our internet, our TV.  What if there is an emergency.  Remember this is a constitutional law, a federal law.  Free Speech, doesnt just mean talking, it means listening, watching.  You can not say a person has free speech when free speech is dependent on some random drunk driving.  

So we need laws that protect our freedoms.  When a person is charged with drunk driving on the first offense, a six month suspension will go a long way towards changing their behavoir.  Since this is a flawed law, you should take the drivers license and plates for those six months.  On the second offense, take the car and do not return it, it is a forfeit.  On the third offense, Jail.

Yesterdays cop show, shows a DWI and the man says he doesnt have a license .... this is not true, what he has is two of them, and an allias, so when he gives you a name is you dont run the prints, you wont know he is wanted in other places.

So please lets see some meaningful legislation from you.
