Demolition Weekend

This weekend, the city paid to demolish a perfectly good office building ($45M).  So now the city departments are everywhere.  And why did they do this .....  to appease some rich guys, who contributed to their pockets.  So soon we will be the owners of a new stadium ..... that will not make any profit for the city.

The new structure will be a baseball field, and a losing team.  Just something else we will be known for.  This entire scheme was pushed through under the guise of a downtown redevelopment program.  With the goal of revitalizing downtown.

So how much does it cost to see a game in our new stadium?  Parking fees, tickets, hot dogs, beer and soda.  Are we going to have advertising income?
Make national TV?  We will have to provide security, so thats about a million dollars in overtime.  Then some of those officers are off duty, they just put on their uniforms to see the game.  (This is stealing from the tax payers)  and a federal offense, it is also income to those police officers and they dont pay taxes on this money.  I figure the police department owes the city a few million dollars with interest, so lets all take their pictures with our little phones and post them on the DWI page.  

Now here is the thing, water restrictions..... what is up with this.  They want to conserve water by putting in another baseball field.  So they can water those fields at leisure and have green green grass.  But I can only water, 3x a week and only at certain times.

They want to keep xpanding the city, adding more area, more development, when we dont have water.

Do the city fathers know that the average El Pasoan has 9.5 years of education, that they are fat, dont make more than minimum wage and women will have to leave the city to find Mr. Right.  That they dont pay child support, that they drink and drive, that they cant speak in complete sentences, that they cant speak english.    And more importantly, they cannot afford a game of baseball.

And what of our newscasters?  They say that the new stadium ushers in a new economic era for the city.  These people have no knowledge of economics, hell they dont have enough sense not to breath the dust resulting from the xplosion.   All those particles that you inhaled will manifest as respiratory disease, medicare increases.....new era of economic development my ass.

Did you know that if you set a up a boobie trap, connect the electrical to a screen to keep out intruders, and they die in the process of stealing from you, you will be tried for murder.  But if a cop shoots you with a taser gun, and gives you 50,000 volts, and you die ...... well that is just to bad.
