El Paso Independent School District.

Well we have some very bad news and this will xpose the EPISD to liability, maybe even criminal conduct.  And we have Ms Williams, at the helm.  We are fucked.

You see there is enough scientific evidence that shows that football head injuries cause;  Alzheimer's and Lou Gehrig Disease.  Yes those blows to the head, lead to concussions otherwise known as Closed Head Injuries.  Since the start of the war in the Middle East, all those IEDs (Improvised Xplosive Device) have caused a lot of medical and psychological trauma for our soldiers and the research and data are  ominous.

Our soldiers are going crazy, and depressed and suicidal and yes, homicidal.  Our football players have also been part of this research and even though we make them wear helmets .... the injuries keep on coming.

So now our children are playing football and are not immune from these problems.  The very children we are trying to protect, to educate, are failing and experienceing neurological problems, psychiatric problems, memory problems, cognition problems and it is all our fault.   Well not all our fault, but Ms. Williams and the school board, and the Superintendent of schools.  

Who knows what they talked about in those secret meetings, maybe they knew that our children were doing poorly in school, because they were piss poor administrators. Maybe they did not want the public to know, maybe they didnt want the parents to sue.  You see the damage is done ..... we wait only for the students to manifest the symptoms.

All those violations of no pass, no play.  All those grades inflated to get the student to pass so they could go out and hit someone and inflict harm.  All that virginity wasted on future "dead meats".  All that bravado was for naught.

So neighbors, the question iz, do you continue to sponsor child abuse, which is a felony and risk being charged with wanton disregard for the safety of our children.  Or do we wait until the first law suit is filed and hope the supreme court saves us.  Do we wait to be sued for failing to provide an educational milieu and a substandard education.

Our laws provide for recognizing 17 years olds as adults, this is the cut off age when we no longer have an educational responsibility to them.  The law says we educate until they are 16 years of age.

I almost feel sorry for us .... but we pay people to worry about these things for us, soon they will want liability insurance.   Dammit , what is so remarkable about the education we provide.  With the best educators, the best schools, the fact remains that we fail to maximize the learning environment, not for just the football players, but for all the students over a blood-sport.
