Im sorry, I didnt finish the last time and its taken me awhile to get back. But this is a continuation of the previous post.
We certainly should have priorities, we should have a plan for doing a few things each year. Six is a good number that way each party could take on three. And they dont go home until the job is done. Certainly a report to the nation would be nice, so we can all see where our money is going.
For xample, corporations and individuals should not be allowed to give unlimited amounts of bribes to our legislators. This kind of government has bad consequences. Lets see if I can remember one, Not long ago, our primary refrigerant was Freon. It was cheap and all of us benefited from this, then our friendly neighborhood Dupont discovered a new refrigerant. They tossed their money at the government scum and got Freon declared an environmental hazard. It was outlawed. Only one product remained on the market, it was dupont and they screw the American public out of billions of dollars. At one time Freon was being smuggled but that seems to have stopped. I hope we didnt send out Navy seals to take care of this.
If you work this scheme backwards you will understand why we dont have a fuel cell car....because the oil barons dont care how much you pay for a gallon of gasoline. Kinda gives a new meaning to the words, rape, pillage and plunder.
I went out to buy a new mattress....so they were showing me the Temperpedic and top of the line was $8000. I dont know about the rest of you but it will be a cold day in hell when I spent $8K for a mattress. Yes they have cheaper ones but and they volunteered this information....all the mattress across the US are the same price. This people is called price fixing, and it is illegal.
Like most retirees Im on a limited income, which congress, wants to do away with. So obviously a wooden bed starts at $1K, the mattresses another $1K, so I have to think of something else quick...I went out to look for a wrought iron bed and got the king for $450.00. There I saved a tree, saved some money, bought an heirloom. These wrought iron beds last for decades and should be here long after we are dead. You can paint them, you can laced them with leather or vinyl, you can make the bed decor friendly. They are indestructible. Now all I need are king sheets, a king quilt and presto, the wife is happy.
The events of this week show that CEOs make a bigger salary than the companies pay in Taxes,
Improving educational opportunities......this is a priority. Let me say that 25% of our college students shouldnt be there. Hell 17% of college football players are felons.
Well thats all for today, but I do think that Obama is a smart man and were it not for a congress that opposes every idea we would all be better off today.
Pull the troops out
