How many of u have seen Hayden Pantitiere doing the cotton jig? Good looking gal but what is between the ears?
Cotton has been around for ever so you should know something about the product. I guess we all sleep on cotton sheets and as a rule they dont hurt us. But people in the nursing homes suffer harm because of it.
The sheets in a nursing home are used to raise the patients on the bed, either that or the patient is dragged up the bed. So what happens to grandma or grandpa. Friction, it burns their butts, this cause skin abrasions and if it continues it goes to decubitus ulcers. You have to understand that many of our elderly are incontinent, they wet themselves, and they defecate, n it takes the staff hours to clean them. To turn them. The staff uses cotton towels to wipe them clean and to dry them, but their skin is so delicate that if you dont pat them dry they will breakdown, have a dermal abrasion or worse, increase the size of a decubitus ulcer.
You would think with all the fabrics around we would have found one that gives us better results, so that we can reduce the cost of health care. N remember some of you are not far from this cruel joke.
Those damn cotton sheets get washed in giant washing machines, some times they wear, until the patient can be seen through them. In some nursing homes the good linen is put out for inspections and then withdrawn and the sorry cotton sheets are brought back.
Those cotton sheets are tugged under the mattress so tight that it gives the patients, drop foot.
So do we need Obama Care? ..... absolutely!
