Leadership

In this world we lead by xample.  Monkey see, monkey do.  Yes, you can teach people about leadership and make them better, but without those xamples to follow, people get lost.  If your father is a crook, then there is a good chance you are a crook, if your father believes in God, there is a good chance that you will believe in god.  It doesnt matter that god is or is not, it only matters that you were subjected to the propaganda.  Few people are able to resist this indoctrination.  That is why even though we spend millions in education 60% of the population believe in creationism.

So what can we do to avoid the fiscal cliff?    If we give them money they will misappropriate it.

What if we insist that they stay in session until they solve the problem?  What if we refuse to give them a raise until the problem is resolved?  What if we demand that they solve the problem or step down?

Newt wrote 17 books while in office, so he wasnt doing the peoples' work.  Paul Ryan was running for office so he wasnt doing the peoples' work.
