Boys in Blue

The boys in blue...to look at them you would be unable to say they are homicidal.   Yet one man is dead, driven by his sense of deception to blow his head off with a shot gun.  There are no heroines or heroes in this scenario, there is a family, husband, wife, kids.  The antagonists, the boys in blue, worked in a hospital and IMHO did these evil deeds because they could.


The first time I saw them, they were all sitting in the lunch room as was their custom, about eight of them if memory serves me.  They waited for an elderly black lady to sit within hearing range, then they started telling black jokes.  They were trying to provoke her but she ate and didnt get up.

Finally I couldnt take it and called them on it.  I called them SOBs and said "I bet if her husband or her kids were with her you would not act this way.  The lady tried to calm things down, she said it didnt bother her, but I was not going to let it go.  I told them I was going to go to management and have them fired.  I left the lunch room without incident.  The black lady also left after the tongue lashing ditched out by her colleagues. 

It wasnt long before one of them, the leader came to me and tried to get me to forget the whole thing.  He said they had spoken to her and apologized and that she could not understand my concern.  One of them said that if I went to management and they got fired, they would kick my ass.

These are the professionals in charge of delivering health care to patients, obviously these are not people of conscience.  They managed to get through school and to grow into a gang of heathens and in the absence of supervision grew into a deadly, human toxin.  Daily they waited until the person sat close to them to begin putting skeletons in their closets.  Some of these people would come back and sit next to them only to get all the information.

She was one of the most beautiful women I had ever seen and the wife of a doctor.  Her son worked there as well, clearly a case of nepotism.  The husband had used his influence to get both of them hired one was a nurse and the other a student.   These employees were given privileges that others did not get.  They were hired without an interview, given the best shifts, given the most pay,....all this to keep the doctor happy so he would bring in more patients.  The BIB were aware of this and perhaps it was a class war. 

When the son came into hearing distance, they deliberately called his mother a whore and spoke about her infidelity with the staff.  Finally the son took the information to his father not realizing that the consequences of his actions would result in a bitter divorce and the death of his father.  The woman started to come into the ER for anxiety attacks provoked by the hostile domestic home environment and the look of disappointment in her children's eyes. 

The doctor fell, he could not deal with the script written by the BIB.  Depression ensued and finally when he could not take it......he took a shot gun and blew his head off.   The mom, the son, the family is probably still on medication and therapy.
