Today I heard th speaker of th house say, " an attack against one is an attack against all of them". Now Im sure that this idiot did not mean to say this. The line use to b,' an attack against th King's men is th same as an attack on th Kin'. Right out of th movies.
Th speaker does not yet realize that who represents th constituents, is up to th constituents. Only they have th right to remove or keep a representative in office. Th man that shot these people is insane n his actions although tragic do not merit congress assumin a vigilante position. We r a nation of laws, th man has been arrested n is confined. He will b judged by a jury of his peers, if n when, he comes to trial. If th judge dtermines that he is not fit to stand trial....he will go to a psychiatric facility for treatment until such time as he is dtermined not to b a danger to himself n others.
A random act of violence does not give th speaker of th house th right to close ranks n assume a dfensive posture. Democracy obligates us to face our elected leaders n to dmand that they represent th will of th people. Th relationship btween elected officials n their constituents is sacred n cannot b challenged by th congress.
Again th shootin of th Congresswoman although tragic does not constitute criminality. Th determination of criminality is a judicial function n a jury function. We r a nation of laws n our dmocracy is diminished by any congress that reacts legislatively to harm a child. Care of th insane, th aged, th infirmed, th hungry, th poor r our social obligation. Wars have been fought over this. We do not support th Ship of Fools theory. Not at th national level, not at th city level, n indeed not at th global level.
An apology is due th American people for th legislative misconduct articulated by th Speaker of th House. His actions should b condemned n his gavel surrendered. He is not fit to lead th Congress n it is very possible that he is just as crazy as th person who shot th congresswoman. He suffers from dpression n is in need of therapy, that's why he cries all th time. His actions r far more dangerous to our dmocracy than any attempted murder. N I remind th people, that all men r created equal, n that neither th speaker of th house or th congresswoman dserve special treatment.
So let it b written, so let it b done.
